SALES POLICY

Please carefully read our sales policy.

  • A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required per goat which is due in conjunction with a signed sales contract. Animals will not be reserved without deposit. 


  • We accept PayPal with Debit/Credit Cards to j-and-m@therupertranch.com which includes PayPal Fee if applicable, Venmo with Debit/Credit Cards to @RupertRanchLLC, or Cash. Payments via "Friends and Family" on Paypal does not charge a fee. If you choose not to pay via "Friends and Family" the fee will be included in the remaining balance due. 


  • Disbudding is standard practice for dairy goats as it helps ensure safe handling. However, this procedure helps prevent horn growth and is NOT 100% guaranteed. SCURS / horn growth is always possible even with proper disbudding.  


  • There is a limited market for resale of horned dairy goats due to safety of handling and disqualification for goat shows. Disbudding is performed on horn buds at a very young age. This is not to be confused with dehorning which is a different procedure. For these reasons, IF you request a goat kid NOT be disbudded, the FULL PAYMENT (NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE) is due at the time of deposit.


  • Rupert Ranch makes no guarantees, expressed or implied, of health, color, height, reproduction, show quality, milk production, etc. We do not offer any health or wellness guarantees after the animal has left our property since we cannot control the management of said animal(s) once they leave our farm. We encourage BUYERS to understand that travel and management change is stressful to for animals, and the BUYER is encouraged to make environment & feed transitions slowly to reduce stress.


  • Rupert Ranch guarantees our goats are healthy at time of sale, and BUYER has the option to review the condition and health of the animal, including any veterinary examinations, at BUYER’s expense.


  • Goat kids will be disbudded, tattooed, given coccidia prevention, and vaccinated twice for CD/T. For goat kids (bottle babies) picked up before 12 weeks old, buyer is responsible for CD/T vaccinations. 


  • All wethers will be disbudded, vaccinated, and castrated before leaving Rupert Ranch.


  • Should an animal be sold as an unregistered pet/non-breeding animal, no registration papers will be released or given to BUYER at any time.


  • Rupert Ranch reserves the right to retain any animal from any breeding.


  • Rupert Ranch reserves the right to refuse to sell an animal at our discretion if we are not confident in the ability of the BUYER to adequately care for the animal.


  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. 


  • In the event of the loss or injury of an animal(s) prior to the date of sale / delivery date to buyer, Rupert Ranch will refund the full deposit to buyer.


  • Animals must be picked up on an agreed upon date determined in the contract.


  • Animals must be picked up within 7 days of the agreed upon sale date. Animals not picked up within 7 days of the agreed upon sales date will be charged $10/day per animal, to be paid by the BUYER before the animal(s) leaves the farm. If said animal(s) is not picked up within 14 days of the agreed upon sales date the BUYER’S reservation will be forfeited, including all monies paid, and said animal(s) will be retained or placed for sale.


  • The buyer is responsible for transportation of the animal, all transportation costs, and health certificates.. Rupert Ranch assumes no responsibility for transportation arrangements or costs associated with transportation, nor will we be responsible for accepting or transferring funds intended for shipment of the animal. Furthermore, Rupert Ranch is not responsible for death or injury associated with transportation.


  • Reserved animal(s) will not leave Rupert Ranch, for any reason, until full payment is received.
